12-channel Power Combiner PWC1120L

In stock

Description

The PWC1120L RF Power Combiner is a 12-channel broadband RF power combiner. The power of each of the 12 inputs is regulated by a separate RF attenuator. The total power is also regulated at the output of the device. The number of summed signals can be increased by applying a pre-summed signal from another PWC1120L or similar device to the cascading input of the device.

To power the transmitting device (BUC), the device has a 24V constant voltage injector. Some BUC modules require a frequency reference in the output signal for their operation. The PWC1120L additionally contains a 10MHz reference frequency injector. The device is made in a 1U case and is designed for installation in standard 19 ”instrument racks for telecommunications equipment.

Features

  • 12 L-Band Inputs. PWC1120L has 12 power tuning inputs for receiving signals to combine. 950 to 2150 MHz signals can be combined with specified performance.
  • Cascade Input. The total number of combined signals can be increased if you use Cascade Input to receive already summed signals with the other PWC1120L or a similar device.
  • BUC power supply. DC 24V power can be supplied to Block Up-Converter (BUC) over the signal feeder.
  • BUC reference frequency. If PWC1120L provide signal for the transmitter requiring reference frequency high quality 10MHz sinusoidal signal from embedded oscillator can be added to the output.
  • Variable gain output power. The sum power of combined signals can be adjusted to match PWC1120L output and BUC input to achieve the highest broadcast quality.
  • AC 220V power supply. 220V power supply is required for device proper operation.
  • Compact size. Thanks to its compact size (19”, 1U) the device can be easily installed to a standard telecom rack.
  • Application. MVDS central stations, Satellite TV Earth stations.

Brief description of the main blocks

  • Input attenuator is designed to adjust the power of input signals before summing
  • Power combiner block is used to combine the outputs of various sources in one communication channel
  • Output attenuator is required to match the total output power of the radio signal sources and the nominal input power of the transmitting device
  • DC and 10MHz injector — 24V supply voltage and 10MHz reference frequency injector keep the transmitting device operational
