MPEG-2 encoder COD882

MPEG-2 Coder Multiplexer with scrambler Crypton and QPSK modulator COD882MS(front view)

The DTV-server COD 882ASI – is a device for transforming 8 analog TV programms into digital MPEG2 multiprogrammed transport stream (MPTS) and scrambling.

  • Inputs: 8x analog (video + stereo sound)
  • 8x MPEG2 A/V encoders
  • Built-in multiplexer
  • Built-in EPG injector (24 hours/7 days)
  • DVB NIT support
  • Conditional Access (CAS Crypton is embedded)
  • QPSK-modulator (950-1750 mHz or 1450-1950 MHz)
  • 1U

Features:

  • Eight analog inputs. Eight analog programms (video+stereo sound) are transformed into one digital multiprogrammed transport stream (MPEG2-video, MPEG1 Layer 2sound).
  • Set of bit rate for audio and video. Each programm can be assigned to its bit rate.
  • TV and radio channels. Each programm can be tuned as a TV channel (video and stereo sound) or as a radio channel (only stereo sound).
  • Disconnection of channels (if required). Disconnection of channel will result in its total exclusion from an aggregate output stream without affecting other channels.
  • Offline channel resetting. Stream rate control, name editing and other settings of every channel are done separately and offline.
  • Built-in NIT/EPG injector. A week’s EPG is transferred in the stream.
  • DVB-compatible CAS Crypton scrambler.
  • Digital ASI output. From device output the signal can be fed to the channel modulator supporting ASI interface.
  • Built-in DVB-S (QPSK) modulator. The device signal is fed to the external transmitter by DVB-S modulator with L-band output.
  • Reliable software. The software package “Crypton Software Suite” enables to control and monitor the network device status condition.
