Ukrainian digital television network "Maximum TV"

Digital television network "Maximum TV", which broadcasts in MITRIS system using "Crypton" equipment and CAS Crypton is a Ukrainian national broadcasting TV company.

"Maximum TV" (http://www.maximumtv.com.ua) was being built at the turn of the 2005 year. Since 2006 it has been successfully put into operation.

“Maximum TV” subscribers can watch up to 126 TV programs of russian, ukrainian and international TV companies.

«Maximum TV» broadcasts by aid of terrestrial transmitters DVB-S format, 11.7-12.5 Ghz bandwidth. “Maximum TV” broadcasts in DVB in stereophonic sound according to international standards. The encryption system is addressed, the 128-bit key is changed in every 2 seconds. The TV programs’ reception is done within a direct sight between the subscriber’s receiving antenna and the transmitter’s antenna. It provides the ideal video and sound quality bringing “Maximum TV” to the leading positions in the telcommunications field.

Reasons of application:

Coverage area of regional transmitting center – 50-60 km for 2-3 national channels and 15-20 km for other TV-channels. Signal distribution interval is significantly decreased in hilly areas. Microwave transmission lines don’t solve the problem. According to statistics, 60-70% of Ukrainian citizens can receive up to 3-4 TV-channels and the rest of citizens 1-2 TV-channels only.

Conditional Access System “CryptOn” fully complies with ETR-289 (DVB Simulcrypt).
Conditional Access System “CryptOn” is designed to arrange the TV-channels’ broadcasting in digital format for the networks of diverse topology considering every customer needs.
ETR-289 (DVB Simulcrypt) standard for algorithm of lower-level describes the procedure of data processing before sending them to the modulator at the transmitting side and inverse procedure of input data reception before sending them to MPEG decoder. ETR-289 (DVB Simulcrypt) is easily integrated with MPEG-2, H.264, HDTV.
