Equipment for TV broadcasting

Crypton develops and produces equipment for digital TV broadcasting in the cable (DVB-C), terrestrial (DVB-T, DVB-T2), Internet (IPTV, OTT) and satellite (DVB-S, DVB-S2) networks. All TV broadcast formats are supported (SD, HD, UHD quality).

The equipment provides an electronic program guide (EPG), has a standard Internet protocol SNMP for managing devices in IP networks. To restrict access to content and organize Pay TV, the CAS Crypton conditional access system has been developed and used by more than 150 TV companies around the world.

Digital TV Headend

Crypton manufactures a full range of broadcast TV headend equipment:

Signal sources — receivers (IRD) receive TV content from various sources: from satellites, from terrestrial and cable broadcasting. The receivers have CI slots for CAM modules that allow descrambling of encoded programs. The peculiarity of receivers from Crypton is that they are multichannel (several receiving modules in one device), due to which the price, size and ease of control are significantly reduced. Yes, and ready-made multiplexes of the necessary programs from one device — specific savings.
DVB multiplexers allow you to parse input multiprogram (MPTS) streams and remultiplex (combine) programs into an output MPEG-TS transport stream with the required set of programs.

Modulators DVB converts a digital signal into a radio frequency signal for long-distance propagation in cable (QAM modulation) or air (QPSK modulation — satellite TV, MITRIS, LVDS).

Power combiners for combining multiple RF input signals into one output.
Subscriber equipment of the digital V.

Devices are developed on the basis of one platform, are compatible with each other and with equipment of third-party manufacturers.

Interactive television IPTV

Linear television is being replaced by interactive television, which provides users with a wide range of additional services related to content consumption: video on demand (Video on Demand VoD), to any device (Multiscren, TVoIP, Second screen), with delayed viewing time (Time Shifted TV ), television following the broadcast (Catch-up) and other possibilities.

Crypton manufactures equipment that allows you to inexpensively create an interactive TV headend. Just one device and you can already start broadcasting IPTV: IPTV Video Servers. If you already have a linear TV headend, then it is enough to put an IPTV video server (Crypton Catch-Up TV Server) at the output as an IP streamer.
