A professional satellite receiver-decoder is one of the devices that starts a headend for TV broadcasting, as it receives TV content from different sources: from satellites, from terrestrial and cable broadcasting. Being a signal receiver for its further transmission to the network, the receiver serves as the foundation of quality.

The peculiarity of receivers from Crypton is that they are multichannel (they have several receiving modules in one device), due to which the price is significantly reduced, the dimensions are reduced, and the ease of operation goes to a new level. It becomes possible to get ready-made multiplexes of the required programs from one device, which is also very economical. Receivers have CI slots for CAM modules, which allow descrambling of encoded programs, and they can also act as IP streamers.

An 8-channel professional receiver is essentially eight DVB-S2 receivers, allowing you to receive a signal from 8 different sources. The presence of 8 CI slots allows simultaneous decoding of scrambled services. Depending on the configuration at the output, you can use DVB-ASI interfaces, which provide interfacing with DVB modulators, scramblers and other digital television streaming devices.

With the help of a multichannel professional receiver, it is also possible to organize Multicast broadcasting of up to 64 digital television programs or transport each of the transponders received by the DVB-S2 receiver via Unicast transmission. In this case, TV tuners act as IP streamers.
